About Caravaggio and The Crucifixion of Saint Andrew (1606)

Caravaggio (1571–1610) painted The Crucifixion of Saint Andrew in Naples in 1606–1607 for the Count of Benavente, the Spanish viceroy of Naples, who took it back to Spain when his term ended. Painted in oil on canvas and measuring about 203 x 153 cm, it is in the Cleveland Museum of Art.
