About Michelangelo and The Dream (Il Sogno) (1533)

Michelangelo (1475–1564) made The Dream around 1533, in the same highly finished style as the drawings he gave to Tommaso de' Cavalieri, and it may have been made for him. It is one of the most admired and most copied of all his drawings. It is drawn in black chalk. It is in the Courtauld Gallery in London.
