About Raphael and The Three Graces (1504)
Raphael (1483–1520) painted this work around 1504–1505, early in his career. It is thought to be a companion to The Vision of a Knight in the National Gallery in London, and its pose is based on a famous antique marble group. Painted in oil on panel and measuring only about 17 x 17 cm, it is held in the Musée Condé at the Château de Chantilly.
