About Vincent van Gogh and Garden at Arles (1888)
Vincent van Gogh (1853–1890) made this painting in July 1888. In February 1888 Van Gogh moved to Arles in the south of France, looking for the light and colour he associated with Japan. It is painted in oil and measures about 828 x 1020 cm.
